NEW DELHI: After seeing a sharp rally over last three years, seven smallcap stocks no more look ‘smallcap’ in market value terms. Some of these stocks have rallied up to 1,200 per cent in just three years and seen their market capitalisation climb above the Rs 10,000 crore mark at a pace of nearly 5 times. Companies with average daily total market capitalisation accumulated to 70 per cent on BSE are considered largecaps, the next 15 per cent midcaps and the final 15 per cent as small-cap. At prevailing prices, one can thus assume largecaps to be qualified as companies with m-cap of Rs 24,400 crore and above and midcaps with Rs 10,000-24,400 crore. ...
